Registered Team Rules

Official rules for registered teams participating in tournaments.

Team Registration
  • Teams must register through the WhatTrivia website to track their scores and participate in tournaments.
  • Each registered team receives a unique team code that must be given to the host at the start of each event.
  • Team names must be appropriate for all ages and venues. WhatTrivia reserves the right to reject inappropriate team names.
Tournament Eligibility
  • Teams must have attended a minimum number of qualifying events to be eligible for tournament play.
  • Tournament standings are based on accumulated points throughout the qualifying period.
  • Teams must register their team code at the beginning of each event to receive points. You cannot wait until the results are announced.
Team Composition
  • Teams may have any number of registered members, but only up to 8 players may participate at any single event.
  • Team members may change throughout the season, but the team code remains the same.
  • During tournament finals, teams may be required to submit a roster of players who will compete.
